On March 1, 2020, the revised "Securities Law of the People's Republic of China" (hereinafter referred to as the "Securities Law") officially came into effect. According to the provisions of the Securities Law, law firms engaged in securities services are required to file for record with the securities regulatory authority under the State Council and the relevant competent departments of the State Council.
To implement the filing requirements stipulated in the Securities Law, the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), together with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Justice, and the Ministry of Finance, formulated the "Provisions on the Filing Management of Securities Service Institutions Engaging in Securities Services" (hereinafter referred to as the "Filing Provisions"). The Filing Provisions were officially released on July 24, 2020, and took effect on August 24, 2020. The Filing Provisions provide specific regulations for law firms engaged in securities services to complete the filing process.
After the formal release of the Filing Provisions, Landing Law Offices attached great importance to the matter. The firm promptly coordinated resources from its headquarters and branch offices, initiated preparatory work for the filing, and submitted the application materials for filing after the Filing Provisions came into effect.
On September 18, 2020, the CSRC publicly announced the list of law firms that had completed the filing process. Shanghai Landing Law Offices became one of the first law firms to complete the filing for engaging in securities legal business under the new regulations.
This achievement reflects Shanghai Landing Law Offices' commitment to adhering to regulatory requirements and its dedication to providing high-quality legal services in the field of securities.
