  1. Director Liu Yixing Reports on Landing Law Offices' Development Journey and Philosophical Principles

1.1 Firm Scale and Development Journey

Director Liu Yixing provided an overview to the present leaders, sharing that Landing Law Offices commenced its journey on April 1, 2018, with a group of a dozen lawyers in a 20-square-meter shared office space at Baijin Bay. On July 12, 2018, the firm officially moved into a 596-square-meter office space at the Shanghai Jianfa Office Building in the North Bund, which is its current location. Since then, the firm has continued to expand rapidly, with a total of 107 personnel in Shanghai and a nationwide total of 297 individuals. Due to this growth, the current office space has become insufficient to accommodate all the practicing lawyers. As a result, a new office space was contracted and is set to be occupied in August 2020 – a 2,000-square-meter area at the Twin Towers of the North Bund. By the end of 2020, Landing Law Offices' Shanghai headquarters is projected to exceed 250 personnel.

1.2 Landing's Philosophical Principles

"Unwavering Specialization, Robust Internationalization, and Relative Scalability" represent the core principles Landing Law Offices upholds for its development. The firm expects every partner and practicing lawyer to adhere to the principle of unwavering specialization. Each partner is required to practice within their designated primary and secondary areas of expertise. For matters falling outside their specialization, collaboration with specialized teams is essential. Specialization is considered a critical factor in year-end bonus assessments. Robust internationalization is also a vital operational philosophy and distinctive service of Landing. Currently, Landing has established nine overseas branches, providing services to more than 80 of China's top 500 enterprises, publicly listed companies, and central state-owned enterprises. The firm's international business serves over 500 Chinese clients. While the pace of Landing's growth is remarkable, it's reassuring that amidst this rapid expansion, all partners maintain a clear perspective. There is a strong desire within Landing to adhere to a path of relative scalability. During the process of selecting partners and practicing lawyers, Landing places the practice philosophy and ethical qualities of candidates in the forefront of consideration.
