On the morning of June 29, 2023, Landing Law Offices warmly welcomed a delegation led by Vice President Ren Jiadong of Yanshan University for an exchange visit. Reportedly, after attending the listing ceremony of the alumni enterprise Changzhou Shi Chuang Energy Co., Ltd. on the Science and Technology Innovation Board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Mr. Ren and his delegation immediately paid a visit to Landing Law Offices.

At the beginning of the meeting, Vice President Ren Jiadong expressed gratitude for Landing's warm reception, affirmed Landing's development philosophy, and elaborated on Yanshan University's development history and its significant educational and research achievements in recent years. He emphasized the protective role of law in safeguarding scientific research and innovations. Ren expressed that this interdisciplinary exchange at Landing is a beneficial attempt for collaboration between universities and professional service institutions, such as law firms. He voiced hope that both sides could enhance collaboration in legal lectures for Yanshan University's faculty and students, employment of graduates, and legal support for alumni enterprises.

Attorney Wang Zhan discussed Landing's industry lawyer development in light of the current economic situation, industry characteristics, and employment prospects. He explored the development opportunities and challenges for engineering students' entrepreneurship and expressed the wish, in his capacity as the Secretary-General of the Henan University of Science and Technology (Luoyang Engineering College) Shanghai Alumni Association, to foster interactions between the alumni associations of both institutions.

Attorney Ye Yunkai, who completed his undergraduate studies at Yanshan University's College of Materials, conveyed his gratitude for the nurturing he received from his alma mater. He committed to actively participating in alumni association activities, fostering alumni interactions, and supporting his alma mater and alumni enterprises. Ye proposed that Landing's extensive office network, both nationally and globally, could offer collaborative advantages, providing support to alumni businesses in project landing, industry transfers, and resource integration.

As the Deputy Director of Landing's National Intellectual Property Committee, Attorney Li Rong showcased Landing's accolades in the intellectual property domain. He highlighted some of Landing's achievements in protecting IP for innovative companies and the transformation of technological achievements. Li offered specific suggestions to bolster collaboration between the law firm and engineering universities.

After the discussions, both parties took a commemorative group photo and looked forward to deeper interactions in more fields in the future.

Yanshan University, a prominent national university, is jointly established by the People's Government of Hebei Province, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the State Administration of Science, Technology, and Industry for National Defense. The university, originating from Harbin Institute of Technology and founded in 1920, became independent in 1960, adopting the name Northeast Heavy Machinery Institute, and was directly under the former Ministry of Machinery Industry. In 1978, it was designated a key national institution of higher learning, and in 1997, it was renamed Yanshan University. The university has 34 specialties included in the national first-class undergraduate program construction sites.
