Brothers, sisters and youth:

Today is a big day for Landing's relocation, but deep down in my heart, it's more of a family reunion! I heard too many compliments just now, and I was terrified. Let me take it as a spur to me! When I come to this office every day, what I admire with great joy is not the river view, but the positive spirit of every Landing people. You are the most beautiful scenery of Landing! What an honor to be here with you from all over the world in this bustling Shanghai. "Orchid, a gentleman among flowers; Di, the way of mastery; with the way of a gentleman, seek the mastery of everything." When we stand under the word "Landing", the belief in our hearts and the responsibility on our shoulders should be heavy.

As a Landing people, my glory and my future must be closely related to the common values of the Landing group. I warn myself, and I also hope that every Landing people here will always have "equality and humanistic care"—whether we face the cleaner or senior partners, whether we face superior leaders or vulnerable clients, our Landing people must uphold the concept of equality and humanistic care.

In today's ceremony, we did not invite the leaders to unveil the plaque and give speeches with strict hierarchy and bureaucracy. Every ceremony was attended by Landing people regardless of their seniority or position. This is the future of Landing that I want to see, I want to see that every Landing person is the real master here, and take care of the word "Landing" with the spirit of the master.
 

But we don't fall into the formal view of equality. We must have an atmosphere of "respecting the elite" in our career ambitions. The "Landing elite" in my mind is not how beautiful the diploma is, how high the status is, or how rich the wealth is, but like Mrs. Zhang, a beauty, who loves the group from the heart and follows the rules without arrogance or humility. Perhaps it is precisely because of the atmosphere of "respecting the elite" that Landing people have, in just a few months, the Shanghai headquarters has gathered 17 excellent partners, who are either directors of other law firms or partners of famous law firm, or accompanied by many years of practice experience in famous overseas law firms. In the past two days, I have interviewed several good-looking and high-quality applicants. Although we are fortunate to have gathered a group of elite talents, in this era of great social change, transformation, and unprecedented fierce competition in the legal industry, it is particularly important to grasp the pulse of the times and abide by our unique business philosophy, and it is even a matter of success or failure.
 

Big data and networking are the most obvious features of this era, and they have completely subverted the way clients choose lawyers. Based on scientific big data and convenient online consultation and communication methods, clients will select professional lawyers more conveniently and accurately. "Absolute specialization" is Landing's first concept, which requires every Landing lawyer to focus on a professional field and at least have a professional label. The professional commitment of "one principal and two assistants" we practice is to shape every Landing lawyer into a professional lawyer in a self-disciplined and heterogeneous manner, and establish a good professional brand in the legal service market. At the same time, the professional division will inevitably lead to the internal cooperation market and internal training and improvement mechanism of law firm.
 

Globalization and internationalization are irreversible trends in this era. 50% of the Chinese economy is related to foreign affairs, and more than 90% of high-quality clients need foreign-related legal services. Providing high-quality foreign-related legal services must be the basic skill of a famous law firm. In just a few years, Landing people have deployed Landing law firms with "direct investment, direct management, and direct assignment" in developing countries such as India, Indonesia, Philippines, Bangladesh, Nigeria, and Kenya with the momentum of "strong internationalization". The implication of Landing's English name LANDING is to protect Chinese-funded enterprises' overseas investment and national trade. It may be because we are the only law firm in the world with the most outlets and the most lawyers stationed in developing countries. Institutions such as Tencent, China Railway, China State Construction, Xinhua News Agency, State Council ministries and commissions, and embassies abroad have selected Landing as a in-house lawyer or entrusted with important responsibilities. We just moved today, and our office is already full of about 70 employees. Our partners just held a small meeting to discuss "moving into a whole-floor office building with expanded rent next year". Some people may think that it is just "a toss of poor planning", no! This is a deliberate move by Landing to abide by the concept of "relative scale". In the past year, at least 40 teams and law firms across the country have expressed their explicit willingness to join Landing, but we have only selected and deployed seven domestic branches with great care. In Shanghai, more than 500 law firms and lawyers requested to merge and join, but we all insist on high-quality and steady development, and we will never blindly be greedy for development!

This is not a joke, this is the consensus of Landing. In terms of model choice, our "similar company system" model of Landing is to respect the legal service market of China's special national conditions. In terms of personal case source income, we do not deny the commission system, but we will increase public investment, promotion of joint operations, and distribution of public profits in a corporate manner on the top-level design of the system.

I hope Landing will increase investment in administrative services, marketing, brand building, and training of young lawyers. It is hoped that under such a structure, every Landing employee is full of team spirit, can sacrifice a little bit of current interests, and gain greater competitiveness and a sustainable future through joint business operations.
 

Looking at China's modern successful economic models, successful companies such as Alibaba and Huawei have chosen the all-member partnership model. This era needs the positive energy of communitarianism and the aggregation effect of full partnership. Our overseas investment business team is already an all-member partnership model. Whether it is a first-year assistant or a senior lawyer like me, they will enjoy the team's public profits based on their performance in the team. I sincerely hope that more teams of Landing can use the model of all-member partnership to enable young lawyers to devote themselves to work with enthusiasm and clearly see the future and love this career.

In the past few days, I have been very excited, not just for the joy of relocation, not just to join so many beauties, but also for the network marketing expert, Gang Ma, and the overseas investment business team. On average, several large-scale cases are obtained every day. This is the most successful interpretation of the joint operation behavior and all-member partnership model. We will also let every Landing employee share this success, so I have the confidence and reason to respond to the expectations of the previous partner. Although I stand here full of ambition, because there are such excellent colleagues. But any great business is not smooth, and the bumpy road ahead is objectively inevitable. On the way forward, we can tolerate low-speed moving, but we must not tolerate low-level directional errors. As a lawyer, as a law firm, I fully understand your greedy pursuit of wealth in this era of materialism and utilitarianism, but Landing people must abide by the bottom line of fairness and justice. There are zero tolerance for any behavior or income that deviates from fairness and justice. Because these will not only ruin your life, but also ruin a law firm.
 

We should not come together, especially so many social elites, just to find a comfortable platform to settle down or get a lot of money without making mistakes. In this era, at this juncture, has given our generation of lawyers a great mission. When China's economy accounts for more than 15% of the world, none of the Chinese law firms is expected to enter the top 50 in the world in recent years. More than 80% of the legal fees of Chinese companies investing overseas are paid to European and American law firms with cultural exclusion and insufficient loyalty. To build an "international large and strong firm led by Chinese lawyers" is my original intention of establishing Landing and also my career dream.

I firmly believe that as long as everyone has more feelings like this, this dream will be realized within three to five years; I firmly believe that as long as everyone can abide by the above-mentioned concepts, it will be soon for every Landing people to become a highly respected person by the society.
