On December 17, 2022, in a joyful response to the liberation from the COVID-19 pandemic, the team under the leadership of Director Liu Yixing at Landing Law Offices assembled in Yangshuo, Guilin. Amid the picturesque surroundings, celebrated as "the finest scenery under heaven" in Guilin, they innovatively conducted two key seminars: the Overseas Investment Seminar and the Pet Law Seminar.

Promptly at 10 a.m. on the 17th, Director Liu Yixing's team officially inaugurated the Overseas Investment Seminar. The session was jointly presided over by Lin Yaochang of the Shanghai division and Li Siyu from the Shenzhen division. The seminar had the distinct honor of welcoming back Hu Ruirui, an exemplary former employee of Landing Law Offices, who provided invaluable insights into the "risks associated with compliance in the Southeast Asian live streaming industry". Hu engaged the audience with a thorough analysis of the current landscape of live streaming in Southeast Asia, outlining content requirements and offering expert guidance on compliance. His insights fueled a spirited debate among the participants.

Following this, Director Liu Yixing, leveraging his extensive professional experience, delivered a comprehensive discourse on the immense potential of overseas investment. He also shared his perspective on the growth prospects of young lawyers and those specializing in overseas investment law. Director Liu's fervent address resonated with all attendees, leaving them inspired and touched by his profound dedication and vision.

The program continued as young lawyers and legal assistants including Chang Junlan, Liu Yuanning, Qin Peijia, and Lian Hui candidly discussed the challenges and strategies they encountered in the realm of overseas investment. They also shared their continuous self-improvement efforts in overcoming these obstacles. Simultaneously, they articulated their insights on Director Liu's team's recent deep engagement in various domains such as Internet overseas services, international engineering legal services, labor law services, and fiscal and taxation law services. This portion of the event highlighted the talent and sophistication of Landing's emerging lawyers and legal assistants.

As the Overseas Investment Seminar drew to a close, Landing had the distinct privilege of welcoming external lawyers like Zhao Jingyang, Huang Jie, and Zhao Manman to jointly delve into the hands-on experience of overseas investment practice. The collective sentiment was one of unanimous optimism concerning the future of overseas investment.

On the afternoon of the 17th, following a leisurely exploration of the stunning landscapes surrounding the hotel, the participants reconvened with renewed energy for the Pet Law Seminar. The session was initiated by Mr. Lin Yaochang, who provided an overview of the entire pet industry's current landscape, as well as essential information about animal welfare initiatives. He further detailed Landing's Pet Law team's specific contributions to the pet industry over the past two years. This included media interviews and coverage by outlets such as CCTV, legal education for pet industry workers, legal support to major charitable organizations, representation in a multitude of pet-related legal cases, and the standardization of legal document in relation to pet industry. All these endeavors were pursued in the context of the team's focus on "sustainable development", reflecting a heightened commitment to fulfilling the legal profession's social responsibility.

Next, Zhao Jingyang, reflecting on his extensive legal service experience in Guangxi and familiarity with local culinary traditions, elucidated the practices surrounding the consumption of wild animals and dog meat in the region. He also conveyed optimism regarding the transformation of local dietary customs in Guangxi, attributing this positive shift to the enhancement of legal frameworks and policy initiatives. Members of significant domestic charitable organizations were also present at the seminar. They articulated their perspectives on upholding animal welfare and combating the unlawful consumption of wild animals and dog meat, shedding light on the challenges faced in these endeavors. The participants contributed expert legal advice on existing legal barriers in current public welfare activities, providing thoughtful solutions aimed at safeguarding animal welfare and suppressing illicit activities.

As the conference drew to a close, Director Liu Yixing expounded on the founding principles of pet law. He integrated personal experiences with pets to share his insights on the pet industry and pet-related charitable initiatives. He emphasized that lawyers should bear a social mission and have a sense of social responsibility.
