Foreign-related activities

 

In January 2024, upon approval by the Council of the “Belt and Road” Lawyers Alliance, Senior Partner YIN Xiangnan was appointed as the Coordinator of the Pakistan Working Group of the “Belt and Road” Lawyers Alliance. Yin also marks the only coordinator from the “Belt and Road” Lawyers Alliance in Hunan Province.

 

In January 2024, Senior Partner Elisa WANG was invited by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) to conduct an online seminar on the topic of “Legal Affairs and Common Risks in Investment and Factory Construction in Mexico” via CCPIT’s enterprise service platform, www.eccpit.com. The live broadcast attracted hundreds of audiences from CCPIT enterprises, resulting in a significant viewership. Members actively engaged in discussions and gave unanimous praise on the presentation.

 

 

On January 31, 2024, Senior Partner GU Liping hosted an online seminar in Japanese, sharing insights on “Key Amendments to the new China’s Company Law and their Impact on Japanese Headquarters, Chinese Subsidiaries, Directors, Supervisors, and Senior Management, along with Strategies for addressing them.” Numerous well-known Japanese companies registered for the event, with nearly 300 attending the seminar. The post-event survey showed the seminar received unanimous praise.

 

In January, the Office of the Ministry of Education and the Secretariat of the Central Committee for the Rule of Law jointly issued a notice titled “Announcement of the List of Innovative (Incubation) Bases for Collaborative Training of Legal Talents in Foreign-related Law.” Xiangtan University was approved as the Ministry of Education’s Innovative Base for Collaborative Training of Legal Talents in Foreign-related Law, as the only selected institution in Hunan Province.
