On March 16 and 17, 2024, the “2024 Xinkong Workshop·Law Firm Visiting Scholar Program” (Second Edition), hosted by Xinze Law, was successfully held in Shanghai. Shanghai LANDING Law Offices, Sunhold Law Firm, SGLA Law Firm, and Shanghai Kindall Law Firm served as the four visiting destinations for the Shanghai station of this workshop. The event has attracted directors and partners from over 80 law firms nationwide to share and discuss experiences in law firm management and development.

This event was hosted by YU Pengming, the founder of Xinze Law. LIU Yixing, director of Shanghai LANDIND Law Offices, extended a warm welcome to all attendees and delivered a keynote sharing with the topic of “The dividends of overseas development for Chinese law firms – taking LANDING as an example”.

Director Liu first told the founding story of LANDING, which originated from its office in India. Subsequently, combined with LANDING’s development status and operational model, he elaborated the sharing on four aspects: international perspectives in the legal industry, core competitiveness of lawyers, predictions and path dependence of overseas legal service markets, and models of overseas layout and approaches to market expansion. He introduced some of the current dilemmas in expanding overseas legal service markets and shared corresponding experiences in solution.

As representatives of LANDING’s successful experience in combining professionalism and overseas business, YUAN Chunsong, Senior Partner of LANDING, and YE Juan, Senior Counsel of LANDING, introduced the development path and business situation of LANDING’s MCN team and data compliance team respectively.

After the sharing session, the attendees actively raised questions and engaged in heated discussions about the challenges and pain points encountered in the development of law firms. The event had a lively and vibrant atmosphere.
