- Senior Partner Li Xinli represented a certain foreign trade company in mediating a dispute over the export of chemical products with a company in Jiangxi at a court in Jiangxi. The background of the case was that the parties signed more than ten export contracts. During the performance of the contracts, the foreign trade company failed to fulfill other contracts due to quality issues with previously delivered goods. The company in Jiangxi sued for continued performance of the contracts, but the market price of the goods had significantly declined. Faced with unfavorable factors in the lawsuit, the representing lawyers fully presented evidence and arguments and filed a separate lawsuit regarding the quality issues. During the litigation, the representing lawyers actively engaged in negotiations and cooperated with the judge's mediation work, ultimately reaching a settlement. The client expressed satisfaction with the result.

Partial International Activities
- In October, Senior Partner Li Xinli was appointed as a mediator at the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Mediation Center for a term of 3 years. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade/China Chamber of International Commerce Mediation Center and its branch mediation centers are permanent mediation institutions that independently and impartially help Chinese and foreign parties resolve commercial, maritime, and other disputes through mediation. Established in 1987 as the Beijing Mediation Center (renamed since 2000), as of June 2023, it has set up 66 branch mediation centers in various provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, and some important cities nationwide, forming a large mediation network.
- On October 26th, Director Yin Xiangnan of Shanghai Landing Law Offices (Changsha) and Lawyer Fu Yao from the international business department attended the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation framework agreement for the "Non-Trade Professional Cooperation Platform" in Hunan. The "Non-Trade Professional Cooperation Platform" was jointly established by the Hunan Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Hunan Lawyers Association, Hunan Certified Tax Agents Association, Hunan Association of Asset Appraisers, and China-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Council. They also provided a comprehensive introduction to the key points of Brazil's tax reform, the "Programa Remessa Conforme" (PRC), its specific impact, common legal risks of cross-border e-commerce, as well as the influence of local social and cultural factors on Chinese enterprises' development and operation in the Latin American market. The live broadcast received nearly 20,000 views.
- On the morning of October 13th, Senior Partner Li Xinli and Senior Partner Li Yueqing participated in the appointment ceremony of Honorary Professor Bernard Hanotiau at the East China University of Political Science and Law. The ceremony was held in the roundtable meeting room on the second floor of the Friendship Building at the Changning Campus of East China University of Political Science and Law. Dean Du Tao of the School of International Law attended the ceremony on behalf of the School of International Law and presented the honorary professor certificate to Professor Bernard Hanotiau to commend his outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of international commercial arbitration. Nearly 30 associate professors and lecturers from the School of International Law, as well as practitioners in the arbitration field, attended the event. The appointment ceremony was hosted by Dr. Xie Dan of the School of International Law, and Lawyer Li Xinli delivered the concluding remarks.
- On October 19th, Chen Xinxin, the head of the Landing Ho Chi Minh City office, was appointed as the assistant to the chairman of the United Nations World Silk Road Forum. The United Nations World Silk Road Forum is a non-profit, non-governmental international cooperation independent legal entity organization registered in Delaware, USA, registered with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, and notarized by the Consulate General of China in New York. Its headquarters is located at the United Nations headquarters. Standing at the height of the United Nations, with a global perspective, the forum is dedicated to promoting and contributing to the realization of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and is committed to building a community of shared future for mankind.
- On October 23rd, Senior Partner Li Xinli was invited to give a lecture on "Nine Legal Risks to Avoid in Foreign Trade" at the "Foreign Trade Lecture Hall" hosted by TOPEASE. He analyzed risks from nine aspects, such as verifying foreign trading partners, being alert to online fraud, essential contract terms, and payment methods, and provided corresponding solutions and suggestions. Over 30 managers from foreign trade companies participated in the training. After the training, the audience expressed that it was very practical and helpful for their business.
