The seminar was hosted by Senior Partner Yueqing Li, Director of the International Investment and Trade Department at Landing Law Offices. Mrs. Li noted that the seminar was of great significance, as it not only provided participants with a clearer understanding of the procedures for enforcing Mainland judgments and arbitral awards in Hong Kong, but also helped enterprises and lawyers better manage risks and improve efficiency in cross-border legal matters.

During the seminar, Barrister Yanan Kang first introduced the structure of the Hong Kong courts, outlining the hierarchy and functions of each level of court. She also explained the different roles of barristers and solicitors in court proceedings, providing participants with a clearer understanding of the Hong Kong legal system.

She then provided a detailed explanation of the practical procedures for enforcing Mainland judgments in Hong Kong, including judgment registration, deregistration, and injunction procedures, illustrated with case examples to make the content more accessible. Regarding the enforcement of Mainland arbitral awards, Barrister Kang shared the application procedures, evidentiary requirements, and typical issues that may lead to refusal of enforcement. Practical case analyses were used to help participants grasp the key points of operation.

The seminar featured lively interaction, with participants actively raising questions on topics such as asset preservation, cross-border enforcement procedures, and the choice of venue for arbitration enforcement. Barrister Yanan Kang provided detailed answers to each question. Attendees remarked that the seminar was engaging and practical, with case examples closely aligned with real-world practice, and that they had gained significant insights.
