With the acceleration of globalization, Chinese enterprises are steadily entering international markets. To meet the growing demand for high-quality cross-border legal services by Chinese companies going abroad, Landing Law Offices, together with more than ten other law firms, jointly launched the “Shanghai Ten-Law-Firm Going Global Network” initiative in 2024. The initiative featured warm-up livestreams and several themed lecture livestreams, creating significant influence within the field of international legal services.

To build on this success, on October 9, 2025, Landing Law Offices once again partnered with Shanghai Shentong Law Firm, Shanghai Sijie Law Firm, Beijing Hylands (Shanghai) Law Firm, Haihua Yongtai Law Firm (Shanghai), Beijing DHH (Shanghai) Law Firm, Shanghai Everbright Law Firm, Beijing Jingshi (Shanghai) Law Firm, Shanghai Huazun Law Firm, Beijing Tianchi Juntai (Shanghai) Law Firm, Beijing Yingke (Shanghai) Law Firm, Shanghai Zhongyin Law Firm, and Shanghai Boyun Law Firm to co-host a new round of the “Ten-Law-Firm Going Global Network: Industry Investment Pitfall-Avoidance Series Livestream.” As the first speakers of the series, Landing Law Offices Global Management Committee Director Liu Yixing and Landing (Shenzhen) Executive Director Huang Xueshan delivered a joint presentation titled “New Models for Law Firms Going Global — The Example of India’s Industries,” both online and offline.

This event was hosted by Senior Partner Li Yueqing, Director of the International Investment and Trade Department at Landing Law Offices. Lawyer Li extended a warm welcome to all attendees and noted that, with the restructuring of the global industrial chain and the deepening of international economic and trade exchanges, Chinese enterprises are moving abroad with increasing confidence. This trend injects new momentum into China’s economic development and simultaneously places higher and broader demands on international legal services. The previous round of the “Ten-Law-Firm Going Global Network” yielded remarkable results, providing strong legal support and valuable experience for Chinese enterprises expanding overseas. Building on this foundation, the new round of activities aims to further deepen collaborative mechanisms, expand service dimensions, and leverage each firm’s professional strengths and international resources to jointly build a global legal service network offering systematic, forward-looking, and full-chain legal support for Chinese enterprises going global.

In his presentation, Director Liu Yixing reviewed Landing Law Offices’ journey and achievements in promoting the internationalization of Chinese legal services. He emphasized that the development of the Chinese legal profession must align with the country's trajectory, and only by prioritizing the international needs of Chinese enterprises can the profession achieve sustainable growth. He stated that the overseas investment and international business activities of Chinese companies are essential pillars of national economic development, and in complex international environments, relying solely on local law firms cannot fully safeguard the interests of Chinese enterprises abroad. Only Chinese lawyers, with their deeper cultural alignment and mission-driven dedication, can truly safeguard the overseas development of Chinese companies.

Liu then reviewed Landing’s successful experience in India. He explained that, rather than entering developed markets in Europe and the United States blindly, Landing chose to follow the direction of China’s industrial chain and capacity transfer, prioritizing developing countries. In retrospect, this strategic judgment proved highly correct: Landing’s success in India not only validated the potential of developing markets but also set the tone for the firm’s internationalization strategy.

Following this, Lawyer Huang Xueshan shared practical insights on how law firms can expand internationally. Drawing on Landing’s real-world experience establishing operations in India, she described how the team started from scratch in an unfamiliar market, quickly gained a foothold, and earned the trust of both local and Chinese clients. Lawyer Huang also analyzed core practical considerations such as selecting target countries and identifying suitable local collaborators. She emphasized that a law firm’s international layout should align with Chinese enterprises’ investment destinations and industrial-chain distribution, prioritizing developing countries with close economic ties to China and strong demand for legal services. She also stressed the importance of finding long-term, strategically aligned partners when building local networks. Her experience in partner selection, trust-building mechanisms, and facilitating efficient collaboration between Chinese and foreign lawyers provided highly practical and inspiring insights for attendees.

The event featured active audience interaction. Participants asked questions about cultivating strategic thinking for overseas expansion, and Director Liu and Lawyer Huang provided detailed responses.

This event marked not only the upgrade and relaunch of the new round of the “Ten-Law-Firm Going Global Network: Industry Investment Pitfall-Avoidance Series Livestream,” but also demonstrated the confidence and commitment of Chinese lawyers to actively integrate into the global landscape and pursue collaborative development. Through this platform, participating law firms will continue to deepen cooperation and form tighter professional synergies, providing systematic and innovative legal support for Chinese enterprises’ overseas investment and international operations. Attendees expressed that the event provided a deeper understanding of the global layout of Chinese legal services and laid a solid foundation for future inter-firm collaboration and joint development. Moving forward, Landing Law Offices will continue to work with its partner firms, pooling legal expertise and broadening international perspectives to help Chinese enterprises navigate global markets steadily and successfully.
