On October 24, 2025, Kelly Yap, Principal of MING LAW ASIA LLC (Singapore), together with Ray Shankar and legal assistant Xiang Li, visited Landing Law Offices. Senior Partner Lawyer Yin Jiake and Partner Lawyer Zhao Yanhua of the Insurance and Maritime Law Department warmly received the delegation. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on China–Singapore maritime legal practice and future cooperation.

Lawyer Yin Jiake extended a warm welcome to Kelly Yap and her team, and introduced Landing Law Offices’ professional development and achievements in maritime law, international arbitration, and cross-border investment and financing.

Kelly Yap presented the background of MING LAW ASIA LLC and its strengths in maritime law, international arbitration, and commercial litigation. She noted that the two firms could deepen cooperation in areas such as ship arrest, charterparty disputes, bill of lading disputes, and international arbitration, jointly advancing coordination and innovation in regional maritime legal services. She further emphasized that as economic and trade exchanges between China and Southeast Asia continue to grow, enhanced collaboration between law firms is crucial for improving the quality and efficiency of cross-border legal services.

Lawyer Yin Jiake shared Landing’s representative cases and practical experience in ship sale and purchase, international arbitration, and recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards, outlining the team’s comprehensive solutions for complex cross-border disputes. He and Lawyer Zhao Yanhua also engaged in detailed discussions with Kelly Yap’s delegation on issues commonly raised by Chinese clients, such as Singapore company law and Singapore arbitration procedures. Both sides agreed that regular communication not only deepens mutual understanding and trust between law firms, but also enhances their ability to serve international shipping and trade enterprises under the Belt and Road Initiative.

This visit further strengthened the cooperative foundation between Landing Law Offices and MING LAW ASIA LLC. Both parties expressed their intention to take this exchange as an opportunity to continue exploring new modes of cooperation in maritime dispute resolution, international arbitration, and cross-border legal services, with the aim of jointly providing clients with higher-quality international legal services.
