Recently, the Department of College Students of the Ministry of Education released the Notice ([2023] No. 6) on announcing the List of Talent Training Program for Employment Supply and Demand Matching(the 2nd Phase), including a total of 25 projects in the legal industry nationwide. Two internship projects, jointly established by Shanghai LANDING Law Offices, Ocean University of China(OUC) and Hunan Normal University(HUNNU), were successfully selected.

The Talent Training Program for Employment Supply and Demand Matching(the Training Program) is an important initiative of the Department of College Students of the Ministry of Education to implement the decision-making and deployment of the Central Committee of CPC and the State Council on “stabilizing and preserving employment”, to deepen the integration of practice and education and the cooperation between schools and enterprises, and to promote the organic linkage between talent education and employment, and effective matching of supply and demand of talents.

The “Legal Big Data Talent Employment Internship Base”, jointly established by LANDING  and HUNNU, has entered into the implementation stage and a hybrid internship mode has been launched.

With the support of Dr. WU Bin, senior partner and director of the National Dispute Resolution Committee of LANDING, the first phase of the internship for “High-end Commercial Litigation” program has recruited one undergraduate and one postgraduate student, who will have the opportunity to participate in a major and complicated commercial dispute. The hybrid internship is divided into two phases, remote and on-site. In the remote phase, Dr. WU and Dr. HUANG Wenxu, Associate Professor of HUNNU, will jointly instruct the interns on how to conduct legal research regarding real cases. In the on-site phase, after a two-way selection for the interns and mentors, the interns will work in Shanghai LANDING Law Offices and participate in the daily work of the lawyers in a comprehensive and in-depth manner.

In the future, LANDING will promote the implementation of internship projects together with our cooperative colleges, integrate the employment demand of law firms into their education system, develop courses on legal practice skills, invite outstanding lawyers to participate in the teaching, and provide students with precise and personalized career guidance, multi-level internship and practice platforms, so as to enhance the students’ competitiveness in employment, and to promote the high-quality and full employment for law school graduates.
